Mini Descent - 7 km
A gentle introduction to canoeing on the Ardèche – perfect for families and beginners.
This route is ideal for families and those new to canoeing.
You’ll have plenty of time to paddle under the Pont d’Arc, enjoy a picnic, go for a swim…
While the descent itself takes about 1.5 hours of paddling, you’re free to take as much time as you want to enjoy your day.
The journey begins calmly with a few gentle streams.
About 30 minutes in, you’ll reach your first small rapid, which will be shown to you on a photo before departure.
Next come the Rapide des Branches and the Charlemagne rapid, where you’ll need to slalom gently between a few rocks…
And then – your reward awaits: the breathtaking Pont d’Arc!
📸 For the best selfie with the arch, we recommend stopping just after the Pont d’Arc, on the right-hand beach (no pedestrian access).
From there, it’s about 30 more minutes to the finish.
